The inaugural exhibition of Message Menorahs took place on the first night of Chaunukah, December 21, 2008, in the Heritage Center of Traditional Congregation. The exhibit looked at the menorah, a candelabrum that has made its way from the ancient Temple in Jerusalem to its modern version on the corner of 59th street and Fifth Avenue in New York in December.

We looked for artists to create for display menorahs that reflect a particular understanding of the Chanukah story. It was wonderful to to have so many creations, in various mediums, by all the various artists from our community. Below is a video of some of the highlights.
